Swedish former model Maud Adams is unique in James Bond legend as she has appeared in three different Bond films, twice as a Bond Girl (Andrea Anders in 1974’s The Man With the Golden Gun and the title role of 1983’s Octopussy) and once as an extra in A View to a Kill (1985).
Neither Andrea Anders or Octopussy made it into my Definitive Top 10 Bond Girls, but the latter was only a few places away. The character of Andrea Anders was quite weak meaning she was quite a way down on the list, but fans will definitely remember the scene when James Bond walks in on her taking a shower. The character of Octopussy is quite different. Unlike Andrea, Octopussy is a very independent and a wealthy successful businesswoman in her own right.
Maud has had a prolific acting career right into the 21st century and starred in the Sci-fi thriller Rollerball as well as on TV programmes such as Hawaii Five-O, Kojak, Starsky and Hutch, Mission: Impossible and That ’70s Show.
